Beit Shemesh has absorbed nearly 1,000 people from the North of Israel, with volunteers leading the efforts (food collection, "laundry service", activity for children, showers, etc.).

Partnership 2000 is organizing a series of musical and cultural events in tribute to the guests from the North and the volunteers - "From Washington and South Africa with Love".
