Here in Israel I live in an absorption center in Jerusalem called Beit Canada. It is in a beautiful neighborhood with a lovely promenade with a view of the old city. Every morning I study in the Ulpan which is in the absorption center and in the evening I go to work. I started working two weeks after I arrived and started studying Hebrew about a week after. Living in Beit Canada is great because you have people from all of the world and everybody is in the same new situation. The staff at beit Canada are very helpful and they have great trips and programs for the residents. Jerusalem is a great city because it has a great spiritual feel and also an exciting nightlife. In the last three months I have visited from Eilat to the Golan Heights. Traveling in Israel is very easy and inexpensive. There are many interesting beaches, parks and cities to visit. After three months I am able to communicate in Hebrew and write a letter to my roommates. So, life in Israel is busy, but well worth it. Thank you to the Miami Israel Aliyah Center for making this happen! (I am on the far Left without the helmet!)
