Attempting to create a person's portrait is not a simple undertaking, and all the more difficult when the man is Yohay Ben-Nun, a complex personality, whose life was swept along by the events of his time. His private biography is intertwined with important chapter of the country's history, on which he left his imprint by dint of his personality and actions.

The album attemps to convey the essence of Yohay's personality. The text tells the story of his life, mostly in his own words, written or spoken by him on various occasions, and with the help of photographs taken at fleeting moements that the camera has preserved for us: a look, a gesture; images capable of exposing but not of deciphering his many-sided personality.

The photographs and the words are interlaced and appear in chronological order, from his birth to his death. And yet this album does not provide a complete and orderly biography; many events are not included and in particular many of the people who accompanied him throughout his life.
