Purim Breaks Down Barriers
Purim Party in NItzana

Purim offers the opportunity the don costumes and break out of our daily roles. At Nitzana the festival enables new immigrants and veteran Israelis as well as newcomers from Ethiopia and the Former Soviet Union (on the KEDMA and SELAH Science) programs to mix together as fellow Jews. This Purim the KEDMA and SELAH Science students performed Purim plays about the story of Esther and more contemporary social topics which had everybody in tears of laughter. The students were not allowed to drink wine but there was still a sense of intoxication.
