Imitation, they say, is the greatest form of flattery. Youth leaders and counselors from Colombia, who in the past four years have been coming to Nitzana as volunteers and to participate in young leadership programs, have established a youth village back in Colombia called Nitzana. The Latin American Nitzana, which symbolizes the fruitful and successful cooperation between the Negev village and the young Colombians, is located in a tropical rather than desert landscape. The climate may be different but the spirit of education prevails in both Nitzana environments. The naming of the Colombian village will deepen the partnership between Nitzana and the Colombian community.
