| The JNF UK delegation meets Nitzana founder Lova Eliav |
A delegation from the UK Jewish community also visited Nitzana during November to see work in progress on the JNF's Uri Gordon Community Education Building. The cornerstone for this facility, which is named after the late head of Youth Aliyah who died three years ago, was laid in May 2002. When completed the Center will serve as a training facility for JNF staff in the south as well as a visitor's center. The JNF UK leadership reiterated their support and commitment to the Nitzana project.
The large delegation of Britons had an enthralling encounter with the new immigrant students on the KEDMA and SELAH Science programs. The visitors were deeply impressed by the amazing combination of the JNF's physical landscape activities in making the desert bloom and the educational endeavors for new immigrants, Israeli schoolchildren and Diaspora students.
