More than 200 delegates from the Denver and Boulder Jewish communities were hosted at Nitzana in December.
The Mega-Mission was one of the largest Jewish delegations to visit Israel during 2003 and its presence at Nitzana cemented and enhanced the already strong relationship between the Negev Youth Aliyah village and the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado.
The visitors came to show their solidarity with Israel. They met with the young new met with the young new immigrants students from Ethiopia and the Former Soviet Union on the KEDMA and SELAH Science programs. A symbolic highlight of the visit was the planting of trees by the Denver/Boulder delegation.
In December Nitzana also hosted an additional visitor from Denver. David Merage from Denver is a generous philanthropist who has contributed much to Israel through his own Queen Esther Fund. While in Nitzana Merage met with the Head of the Ramat Hanegev Regional Council and Lova Eliav, founder of the residential village.
