What does it mean to be a volunteer in a social institution in a foreign country? To me It means a lot.

I came at the end of the summer after my high school graduation to Israel to the Hadassah Neurim youth village to volunteering for a half year, in September 2006. At the beginning I did not have much visions or ideas how it could or would be, so I admitted to a kind of blind-date with that place, where I would live the next half year.
