Deepening the Australian Connection

Youth Aliyah Australia continues to support disadvantaged Israeli youth at Hadassah Neurim. The organization has made a financial contribution to the extra expenses incurred by the residential village during the war when summer camps were held for new immigrant children evacuated from the north. In addition Youth Aliyah Australia is funding a major sports related installation at Hadassah Neurim.

“Since the war began we have been making direct appeals to all our supporters,” said Bernard Weiss, President of the Youth Aliyah Committee in Australia. “We have also been raising money from New Year cards drawn by Australian children in Jewish schools and through competitions with flightstoIsraelastheprize.” YouthAliyahAustraliahasmademajor contributions to Hadassah Neurim over the years and most recently funded the Lewinnek Educational Center.
