National YF Conference
7.8.2006

The entire professional Youth Futures staff convened on August 2nd for a day-long session of lectures, sharing of information and peer learning.

Partnership Directors, Project Coordinators and Trustee Coordinators from the Negev and the Katyusha attacked Galilee received professional summaries and discussed work methods, with the intent of creating a standard basis for work, from which each YF location can grow.

Eli Cohen, Deputy-Director of JAFI, greeted the staff and updated them on Human Resource issues, after which Leah Golan and Nir Lahav summarized the pilot year, put the adjective "pilot" to rest and outlined the YF program's implementation for the 2006-7 school year.

The participants broke up into two groups for a 3-hour peer learning session, which was later described by all as extremely efficient and helpful, and the participants have all contacted each other since, to find ways of continuing the sharing of information and knowledge independently, and to build a cooperative relationship for the future.

The general feeling was of peer-bonding and of a good use of time, and the YF division was asked to organize further sessions in regular intervals, and to help in creating a forum for the Project and Trustee Coordinators.
