This development leads to two highly negative results.

First of all, the youth come to view their teachers and counselors as foreign despots who wish to rule over them with force and negate their free will. The youth thus resist their teachers' and parents' efforts and even grow to hate them. They have no desire to listen, only to break free and get rid of them.
