Beginning in November, the Canton Jewish Federation will host a series of professional performing arts groups from the Western Galilee. The Western Galilee is home to many diverse performing arts groups, and four groups showcasing theater, dance, classical violin and ethnic flute music will present public performances and master classes, and present educational programs in elementary and high schools throughout Stark County.

 All of the performances and workshops are open to the public, will be marketed to the entire Stark County community and will take place in venues such as the Cultural Center, KSU Stark Fine Arts Theater and the JCC.Keshet Eilon, a master violin program, attracts young violin prot.g.s from around the world.

Two violinists and a pianist will present classical concerts, one for adults and a second for children at KSU Fine Arts Theater on November 14 at 7:30 p.m.Halil B.Galil (Flutes in the Galilee), will present a show aimed at family and adults with colorful and dynamic music that sweeps audiences into a voyage around the world. Their children.s show “The Wonderful Story of the Flute” with sounds and stories for children ages 3 - 10 takes place in many countries and includes stories, fairy tales and the playing of dozens of flutes.
