Welcome to the educational early childhood site of the Western Galilee partnership.

This site is for early childhood educators from Mate Asher, Akko and the Jewish communities' consortium in the USA.
The purposes of this site are:
1. Reinforcement of the partnership between the Western Galilee and the Jewish communities of the Middle West-USA .
2. Using the international language of music as a bridge between educators in the Jewish communities and in the Western Galilee communities and as a tool for empowering the child.
3. Enrichment source for the teachers while sharing information between the participants.
The program will be implemented in two fields:
1. Sharing information and cooperative activities dealing with the Jewish cycle of life which will be done in the Western Galilee early childhood classes and in the partnership communities. The different activities will focus on the Jewish holidays, the Jewish heritage and Israel.By sharing information and ideas, we hope to create a variety of enjoyable activities which will strength the connection between our consortium members and their attitude to Judaism.
2. Participating in the unique curriculum which was developed by Efrat Srebro.
This curriculum stands for integrating music in other disciplines like Math. Science, History etc.
This program includes music from around the world and help developing reading skills, social skill, creativity and mathematical abilities at the early childhood.
The advantages of this program are:
The children love music and can play at "a percussion orchestra" by a rhythmic score. They can write their own rhythmical pieces and they understand basic musical terms.
2 Kindergarten children understand the meaning of fraction and show high level of number conservation, solve mathematical exercises very easy and love Math.
3. Children overcome difficulties in math through the musical program.
4. The children develop reading skills and can easily move from the rhythmical language to the numerical language
5. This curriculum creates a pleasant study atmosphere and encourages social activities.
6. The children develops creative thinking
