Partnership to Host Israeli Photographer Barry Frydlender for Residency
22.8.2007
The Tel Aviv/ Los Angles Partnership will host Israeli photographer and internationally renowned artist, Barry Frydlender, for a three-month artist residency immediately following his solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.  He will be living and working at 18th Street Art Center, a non-profit, live/work space that hosts international artists, in Santa Monica from September 4, 2007- November 30, 2007.  The primary goal of the residency is for Mr. Frydlender to research and create new work that captures his unique perspective of Los Angeles.  He will also be introduced to our Los Angeles Jewish Community and the broader LA community.  In the future, the work Mr. Frydlender generates in LA will be exhibited alongside an important Angelino artist selected to photograph Tel Aviv.
