By Pam Wight Staff Writer, Whittier Daily News A model for dealing with homelessness designed by the director of the Whittier Area First Day Coalition has sparked the interest of social workers in Israel. First Day Director Ted Knoll recently returned from a weeklong trip to Israel, where he presented to officials there his "Reciprocal Community Engagement Model" - a holistic type of approach to helping homeless people make the transition back into society. The trip was part of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles/Jewish Agency for Israel's Tel Aviv - Los Angeles Partnership. Click here for full article.
