The Lamitnadev Voluntary Association has bolstered its efforts to find volunteers by setting up a recruitment stand at Beit Shemesh's "BIG" Shopping Center. Hila (in photo), a participant in the Partnership 2000 Student Volunteer program, has been manning the mobile stand one evening per week since March.
25 new volunteers have been recruited to date. Lamitnadev coordinator Yossi Levy, who initiated the stand, places the volunteers as computer counselors at afternoon centers for disadvantaged children, at the "Enosh" center for people with psychological difficulties, and with the Civil Guard - in accord with the volunteers' preferences.
Special thanks to the "BIG" Shopping Center for their cooperation.
