Dear friends,

We at the Artists' House are in the midst of two rather merry projects for Purim. As you know, one of our main goals is to bring art and creativity into as many lives as possible. In this spirit, we launched a mask-painting project. We prepared plaster "masks" and this week we are bringing them to various groups and individuals, together with a painting kit. Each person decorates a mask. Among those participating in the project are a kindergarten on a kibbutz, an after school program at the special-needs school, a group of senior citizens, and local VIPs. (Yes, Mayors Pini Kabalo and Yael Shaltieli, among others, shared their talents with us.) The finished masks will be displayed at the Artists' House starting on Purim day. We will be pleased to send you a selection of masks after the exhibit is dismantled.

The other project is our Purim party. All of our artists and friends of the arts will, of course, wear costumes for Purim, but that's not all. The Artists' House itself will be in costume. It's coming as a Wild West saloon.
