MEGA SOLIDARITY MISSION DUE
The Beit Shean Region and Cleveland Jewish Community are again demonstrating that they are partners through thick and thin.
As part of its Israel Now solidarity campaign, the Cleveland Jewish Community is sending a 180 person mega mission to Israel, including community leaders such as Partnership 2000 Co-Chair Fran Immerman. October 31 is dedicated to the Beit Shean region, with the intensive day featuring:
A field trip to the Gilboa Mountains, site of frequent terror attacks, to learn firsthand about security challenges.
Meetings with Neve Eitan and ORT High Schoolers who participate in a joint program with Cleveland peers.
A tour of the regional economic development unit.
Encounters with graduates of the community leadership development program.
Dinner home hospitality courtesy of dozens of family in the region.
A gala festival of solidarity, under the auspices of Mayors Pini Kabalo and Yael Shaltieli, will cap the day. The region will bestow honorary citizenship to Partnership 2000 founding Co-Chairman Bobby Goldberg of Cleveland, and to Ronny Dueck, Co-Chairman of the region's community fund.
