We are proud and honored to award Professor Art Naparstek, Chair of Partnership 2000 in Cleveland, honorary citizenship of the City of Beit Shean on Israel's 52nd Independence Day. For his great contribution and dedicated volunteer efforts, coming from a sense of true love for Israel and the Beit Shean Region. For his strengthening the links between the Jewish Community of Cleveland and the Beit Shean Municipality and Beit Shean Regional Council - building warm bonds between the communities, cultivating community leadership, developing the regional economy and building bridges to Cleveland Jews via Partnership 2000.
In the name of Beit Shean's residents I thank Professor Art Naparstek for his efforts on behalf of the city and region, turning the Beit Shean Valley into a valley of cooperation, a valley with a developing economy, a valley of peace and unity, a valley in which it is good to live. For all these, Professor Art Naparstek is worthy of the title "honorary citizen of Beit Shean".
