The Shittim School received a certificate of merit for representing the Southern District (along with another seven schools) in a national survival competition. Shittim’s presentation, with a combined focus on the social and ecological aspects of agriculture and environmental quality, was selected for participation in the national competition in the elementary school category. The school also won first place in a thinking game contest and will compete in the national finals. Average scores in elementary school supervisors’ examinations for the Shittim School were 85 in language arts and 83 in arithmetic.
