Partnership 2000: Beit Shemesh-Yehuda Plain-South Africa-Washington
Development of community leadership and social commitment, development of leadership skills and knowledge, strengthening of ties between leaders and volunteers, development of fundraising skills and improvement of interpersonal skills. Formation of a high-quality group of men and women aged 28-40 and training them as a volunteer leadership reserve in the Beit Shemesh Yehuda Plain region. The common goal of all the partnership bodies is to narrow gaps - abroad, the main objective is fundraising and community development - in Israel the main goal is the recruitment of young leaders and increasing the willingness to volunteer - identification of additional sources of funds.

Main Areas of Activity
Community Involvement: Development of a communications major in the high schools; Shari Arison's self-awareness project.
Ties with the Diaspora Community: Electronic communication with the parallel group in Washington. Exchange of information and messages between the groups and the hosting of members of the parallel group in Israel. In addition, the accompaniment of a parallel group from South Africa for a joint study tour.
Education/Youth: Enrichment of leisure and culture activity for youth.
Youth Project
Youth project - One of the teams in the group joined forces with the Assistant Mayor in order to develop leisure activities for youth.
Funds were allocated and the following activities implemented: weekly screening of movies, field trip outside the city, musical and karaoke evenings, City of Recreation week during the summer holidays and others.
We take an active part in the various activities in order to understand the wants and needs of the youth in our city.
