Yom Hazicaron and Yom Haatzmaut with the American Zionist Federation in New York City

In a display of supreme solidarity, the American Zionist Movement joined forces with 45 other New York based Jewish organizations to create one of the largest Israel Independence celebrations that the city has ever seen. Over 3000 attended the event at a popular new mega-venue in Manhattan, Crobar. Celebrations were preceded by a moving Yom HaZikaron ceremony which included New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Ambassador Dan Gillerman, Permanent Representative of Israel to the UN, famed Israeli actor Moshe Ivgi, amongst others.
As its participation, AZM played a major role in the planning and implementation of the Yom HaZikaron program. Following the ceremony, revelers celebrated through the night into the next morning.
