Current Foreign Minister Alexander Downer will attend the State Zionist Council of Victoria’s Annual Assembly to accept the esteemed Jerusalem Prize, awarded to the Minister for his outstanding support and service to the community.

The decision to bestow the coveted award on Minister Downer was not only in recognition of his role as foreign minister, but also for his personal support and commitment to the Jewish community and to Israel.

In addition, the key-note speaker for the evening, Mr Greg Sheridan, Foreign Editor of The Australian, will address the audience on the effects of elections in Australia, elections in the United States and the potential implications for Israel.
