The delegation visited Jewish rural villages and the Jewish Agency compound in Addis Ababa where they were able to assess the situation of those awaiting aliyah.

On the return flight to Israel, 151 new immigrants accompanied the delegation. The delegates followed the immigrants' first steps in Israel, from receiving their identity cards, transferring to the absorption center, and finally to attending academic institutions.

The delegates visited the newly arrived immigrants at the Jewish Agency Absorption Center in Lod and supplied them with the basic necessities needed to establish a household, including mezzuzot for their doorposts. Afterwards, they dropped in on enrichment classes offered to the new immigrants.

At a visit to the Hadassah Neurim Youth Village in the Sharon, the delegates visited with the top Ethiopian athlete on the Olympic team and observed her training, learning, and living in the village.
