Solomon Family Celebrates Bat Mitzvah at Jewish Agency Absorption Center

December 24, 2006 / 3 Tevet 5767

Tony and Rachel Solomon traveled with their family to Israel for the celebration of their daughter Ilana's bat mitzvah.  Since their trip coincided with the Chanukah holiday, the Solomon's chose to celebrate the sixth night of the festival with the new immigrants at the Jewish Agency Absorption Center in Mevasseret Zion.  The new immigrant children as well as the Solomon children, Ilana and Jacob,  enjoyed singing Chanukah songs together and eating jelly donuts (sufganiyot), a traditional Chanukah food. The Solomon's, philanthropists from Boston, have been involved in numerous Jewish Agency projects.
