Anson's collection is the largest private collection in the world of Herzl memorabilia.
The dedication took place in Jerusalem on Sunday, the 29th of April, to coincide with the official ceremonies in Israel on 11th Iyar, which mark the Hebrew date of Herzl`s birth in 1860.
This year also marks the 70th anniversary of the transfer of Theodor Herzl's private archive from Vienna to the Central Zionist Archives in Jerusalem two years prior to the outbreak of the Second World War.

Former Israeli ambassador to Norway, Liora Herzl, whose great grandfather was a cousin of Theodor Herzl, presents Manfred Anson with a piece of Herzl memorabilia that he had never seen before. A menu from the popular "Shwarma Congress Basle Restaurant" on Ibn Gvirol street in Tel-Aviv.
