Mr. Nochi Dankner is the major shareholder, Chairman and CEO of the IDB Group. Currently, Mr. Dankner leverages his broad entrepreneurial and managerial experience to actively manage the IDB Group companies.Mr. Dankner is also the founder and Chairman of the Ganden Group, which holds controlling interest of IDB and a leading holding company. In May 2003, a consortium headed by Nochi Dankner and the Ganden Group, together with its partners, the Manor & Livnat families, acquired the majority interest in the IDB Group.

Mr. Dankner serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and as a director in private and public companies within the IDB Group. Previously, Mr. Dankner served as a Director and Vice Chairman of Bank Hapoalim, the largest bank in Israel.

Committed to giving back to the community, Mr. Dankner serves as the Chairman of the IDB foundation for the community which contributes every year to organizations and various projects in the fields of education, welfare health, culture and the environment. Mr. Dankner also holds key voluntary positions in various associations, among them, MATAN, The Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and Natal.

Mr. Dankner holds the rank of Major (res.) in the Israel Air Force.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tel Aviv University and his LL.B. from Tel Aviv University.

Mr. Dankner was elected a Board Member on June 2008.
