Mr. Eitan Wertheimer  (WZO)

Board Member

Eitan Wertheimer is the President and CEO of “Iscar ltd.”, a company established by his father in the 50’s, among the leading companies in the world in its field. Prior to that, he held several key positions within the company as well as in other companies in the area of marketing and technology that he established. Mr. Wertheimer also holds positions in other high-tech and exports companies within the Iscar Group. He has control and involvement in companies located in the US, Germany, China and Korea, as well as with high-tech and investment management start-ups. He is also President of BTI and Chairman of the Board of a joint venture with Rolls Royce PLC.

 

Mr. Wertheimer is Co-Chair of the Board and steering committee of Erez College; a member of the council for a Beautiful Israel; Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of IDF “Atidim” program; Board member of “Bet Zipora”, established with a belief that education is a vital component in successful integration of Ethiopians; Chairman of the New College for Technology; Chairman of the Board of an association built for turning the Rambam Hospital to the most advanced hospital in the Middle East.  Mr. Wertheimer participated in the campaign of assistance to Turkey after the 1999 earthquake. He received an honorary police commissioner award from NYPD and received the prize “exceptional exporter” and several other prizes on behalf of “Iscar”.

Eitan Wertheimer established a museum for antique cars. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School.

 

He is a member of the Board of Governors since June 2004. He Co-Chairs the Priority Regions Subcommittee.
