Carole Solomon is the Past Chairman of the Board of Governors. She currently chairs the North American Council. She is the first woman to chair the UJA, the National Campaign of the U.S. and the first woman to chair the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency. She is the past Vice-Chairman of UJC and Chairman of the Campaign/FRD Pillar. She is a former president of the UJA National Women's Campaign; she was a member of the UJA Board of Trustees and Chair of its Budget and Finance Committee.
She is a director of UJA-Federation of New York, as well as a former Chair of the federation's Partnership 2000 program. She serves as Vice-Chair of the UJA-Federation's Major Gifts Initiative. She also served as a member of the Board of JDC.
Formerly, Carole Solomon was Chair of the Women's Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and Co-Chair for major gifts of that federation's Operation Exodus campaign. In addition, she sits on the Board of the Israel Vocal Arts Institute and the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic.
Carole Solomon is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. A member of the Jewish Agency's Board of Governors since October 1994, she served as the Chairperson of the Board from June 2003 through June 2007.
