Ms. Hana Melamed (WZO)

Associate Member of the Board

Ms. Hana Melamed is the Former Vice Chairman and Head of EMUNAH-Israel’s Department of Institutions. She was Born in Vienna, Austria and immigrated to Israel in 1939 after her father was released from Concentration camp. As a result of his arrest on Kristalnacht.   Hana's family was able to enter Israel with "Certificates" received via Hapoel Mizrachi.

  

Ms. Melamed is graduate of Talpiot Religious School, Tel Aviv, and teachers in Training College, Jerusalem. She is active in Mizrachi Youth Movement.  She has served on the National Executive of Religious Zionist Youth Movement and was Chairman of the Tel Aviv Branch. 

 

Ms. Melamed served as a guide of youth groups on JAFI Youth Programs in Israel. Among others, she also served as an Emissary on behalf of EMUNAH to the US and Canada; she is a member of the Board of Directors of Gilad (Pension Fund); Chairperson of the Association of the EMUNAH College of Art and Technology; Past member of the Board of Directors of the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center and Chairperson of World EMUNAH.

 

She is a member of the WZO Executive and serves as an Associate Member of the Board since October 2005.
